Contemporary Istanbul 2024 Brings International Flair to the Local Turkish Art Scene
Those who have attended more than a few art fairs will know about VIP days—the invite-only opening where a select audience are able to peruse the booths before the fair’s public hours.
But things were taken one step further at Contemporary Istanbul yesterday with its “At First Sight” day, which is kept so far under wraps that it’s not even listed on its website (the fair’s official VIP day took place on Wednesday).
Turkey’s premier contemporary art fair, Contemporary Istanbul, returns for its 19th edition from October 24-27th, 2024, with a preview day on Wednesday October 23rd, featuring 50 galleries from 14 countries.
Half a Century of Art Adventure Met with Art Lovers
The Taviloğlu Collection of Mustafa Taviloğlu, started with great enthusiasm in 1972 and has continued to grow with passion and devotion for 52 years, has met with art lovers. This collection, which Taviloğlu created with the works he connected with and carefully selected, draws attention with its diversity of artists, periods, styles, techniques and mediums. Featuring 2412 works by 903 artists, this collection can be visited by art lovers between September 21 and December 15.
